During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

And I plan to be...

Though it had frightened her that the bear had descended upon her father, the pup did not truly feel afraid until she heard the sickening thump and turned to see what caused it. Her pools had fallen upon Aimery's lifeless form flying through the air and landing in front of her. The arrival of the second bear had sent them all reeling, and they rallied to Summer even as they fled, following his direction. Their numbers were few, and there was no hope of destroying the two bears. One was a difficult enough task, but two was impossible, especially since there were only the two adults standing and Nzingha - naught but a pup. Since then they had been travelling, first to Abnedrot in order to tell him of their fall. Kershov, who Nzingha had found to be absolutely and uniquely interesting, had been confused at first, thinking that perhaps they were trying to trick Abendrot, or instead get free handout.. But when Summer spoke only truths, the Ice King had finally believed them. From there, they had gone on their way. Many nights were spent licking at wounds and resting, and somewhere along the way Nzingha started to grow up.

Gone was her puppy fat, her paws that were too large for her body. Now, however, she had finally began to fit into her own body. Unlike most wolves who became lanky at this stage, Nzingha did not. Her own limbs, while they did indeed grow, fit perfectly with her frame, their transitions flawless. It told, perhaps that she would be shorter when she reached her full height, which would make sense seeing as her mother had also been short. Her awkwardly fitting body parts, as said, were gone, and had left in their wake instead a beautiful princess. Though she would become muscular, as her desire was to become a warrioress, even if she was ever returned to her royal blood, she would always be thought of as beautiful. Her frankness was a welcome change from prissy little things wanting only to appease others. And her smile - it would always soften her features, her bright pearls lighting up her ebony features.

Now it was such that this princess had had an untraditional start to both her life as a Princess and in her training - For the rest of her puphood and the beginning of her teen years had been lived out as a loner. Her, her father, and Danger had all been wandering around Blossom Forest, at first to see if they could find any of the remaining pack members, but alas, none could be found - they all seemed to have gone to ground. Instead, their mind had changed and they began to seek out a new home, a pack that would accept them even though they had been from another pack. Their pads had led them true, and had led them to Munashii Gekko. For now, it was only herself and her father. Danger had agreed to follow them as well, but had not said when he would arrive. Nzingha could only hope it would be soon so that she would have another face that she knew aside from her father's even if she had had barely and interaction with the brute.

Trotting up to the border of the pack, she found the dead land oddly comforting. Her dread was that she would be slapped in the face by a large, overly full pack. It would have made her feel like an outsider for sure... Perhaps that was why her father had decided on this pack rather than one of the others that were available. It was small and under a new reign - enough so at least so that they would not entirely feel like strangers or outsiders. Before her father had a chance to call, the fae herself raised her maw and called out, hoping that they would accept them, that she would cease her life as a loner.
