During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Being the first to arrive gave Horizon the perfect opportunity to question the prescence of this brute. This challenger – a man that had threatened to take away Ameira’s power and Horizon’s singular friend in Munashii Gekko was no by her side. A soft smile, accented by the glint of sharp ivories made the kalak no less wary. If not more so. The bastard was not antisocial. He was amicable when it came to meeting others and he enjoyed a calm conversation with a wolf with wit and friendliness. Horizon could be social, but he had opted to stay within Munashii after Ameira had left to face this heartless man, at least that was what Horizon had summed him up as, at the moment. To Horizon this was a show of power, the brute was using Ameira as a pawn. Against her own will, and her loyal subjects would be on hand to watch as he usurped the throne in a bath of blood. Though this was all in his own mind he did not voice this aloud in fear of it becoming reality. The ivory pelted, lilac eyed lady was a dear friend and until she proved this man innocent of the crimes that Horizon had conjured, he would not be subject to the same amicability that he showed otherwise. My sentiments exactly...

Tall umber auds twitched catching the lyrics of the new member Nzingha. Horizon had accepted her along with Danger and Summer not too long ago, but there was no mistaking a challenge when one was called. Whether you had been around for moons or had just arrived at the borders. You are not out of bounds at all my friend, no subject is ever taboo. Horizon could only manage a nod as she moved on to the presence of the two refugees. Danger had started to look a tab bit better. Nzingha was by his side like a hawk, constantly at watch. Horizon had to wonder how the man put up with it, but he said no such thing. No need to step on toes that had only just crossed over the border into his homeland. Nzingha and Danger I presume? As we have not met, I will first saw that it is nice to meet you, and I hope that you are finding Munashii Gekko to your liking, that you are able to call it home. I know it is not Bright Moon, but you are welcome here. As for Blood Titan, here, however, all shall be explained once the others have arrived. I am sure you all will not be the only ones confused. So the basilisk had a name? Fitting it seemed, with his bloody stilts and onyx armored body. The brute was large in size but the Kalak still towered over him. His lengthy stilts giving him an edge in speed and height. It was easy to assume the gangly limbs were useless and weak but Horizon was stronger than most wolves gave him credit for.

Just behind the arrival of the odd duo was their ex-Alpha Summer. The grey ghost had a calm aura around him and Horizon knew that the Alpha had no reason to truly question what was happening. He had only recently joined and was just now offering his loyalties to the Queen since she had arrived back only just now. Ameira took her time replying to Summer, but the bastard kalak couldn’t help but notice that the crimson stilted brute had not spoken a singular word as of yet. He merely retained the same small smile as he watched over the group like a python waiting to strike. Horizon wanted to growl and let out the frustration and worry that was building in his system but he remained rigid and quiet. His eyes never fully leaving the mastiff brute’s figure as he awaited the verdict of his presence. And what Ameira said next had the Zeta teetering on the brink of oblivion and outrage. I want to thank all of you for coming. I am sure you have questions, which the two of us will address. This is Blood Titan, the laird who recently challenged me. While there, we had a discussion and came to the agreement that he will be taking over the pack. He could not bring himself to comprehend the nature of this deal…

Horizon wanted to laugh, play it off as a joke or something but the words that flowed from Ameira’s maw said that this was anything but a joke. I will stay in my position of Alphess, but he will be the main power. He has more experience in such matters of politics and war, and is the best option for the pack. I am here to care for you all as I have been… believe me when I say that this is the best option for the pack, and that our future is all the brighter for including him. But please be open and tell us your thoughts… this pack will not succeed without all of you as well. Horizon stood to his full height, and approached the pair with a solemn look in his eyes. Ameira, I will respect your word, but— the kalak turned to Blood Titan. His mismatched gaze of heated ember and mud bore straight into the brute, Understand I will not follow you without knowing you. I know naught of your intentions and I can only take heart to my Queen’s words that you intend to do what you have said. I will have an open mind to your leadership but until it’s earned you will not have my trust. Horizon’s voice held a steely edge, but it did not rise in anger. It was calm, but ingrained with a cold truth. The brute had to earn the heart and trust of the kalak before him. It was not to be handed out willy nilly. He had suffered too long in his life from those that had taken advantage of his lower caste. Horizon took one last look into the brute’s gaze before backing away once more, his haunches sitting firmly upon the ground waiting to hear what the brute had to say for himself and his ambitions.
