Here came a place which seemed to be the warmest, and though she would have shied away any other day for somewhere a bit warmer, today, after rubbing to try and shed some fur, Amber had decided to explore before it became far too warm here. Of course, with all the little caves, ditches, and crevices, it was so easy to avoid the actual sun. The golden beast above that seemed determined to roast her alive at the warmer weather. This time, it seemed the land itself had joined the fight.
With such rocky, unstable, and wild arrangements of ground, it was almost like taking a dare every step. That, and the water everywhere didn't help, muddling what you could see in order to try and make you get a paw stuck. It seemed too easy. Especially for the midnight black wolfish figure near-by, who seemed to be daring the ground to swallow him. That's actually exactly what it did, or at least what he let it do. It only took three seconds, and then he was gone, down where it smelled dead, and the water dove to follow him.
Walking where he'd been moments before, the shining white animal looked down, her deep forest green eyes gazing into the dark. A pity, really, that they only helped her if the sun was shining onto snow. Nothing against the all consuming darkness below. The sun itself beat onto her back, and if anyone were to look up at her, it would seem like the ends of her fur were glowing. But Amber never cared about her looks at all.
