Why should the Queen of the fields call for him? What was it she could wish to discuss with him? Well- in truth he was fairly sure he knew why she might summon him, if only to discuss his intentions with her daughter. Intentions Rhett had held ever since the day he had met the young Princess at the gathering of young wolves. The boldness of his intent however, was perhaps better not discussed so openly with her Mother lest the Alphess seek to remove him from her pack entirely, a pack he fully intended to run one day beside Nevermore. The disapproval of the Alphess would be a rather critical hitch to his plans and one he simply could not allow. No, it was best if she liked him. If she found him charming as Nevermore surely did, well, in her own way. Nevermore had her own way of doing most things and yet over time Rhett had come to find he almost….enjoyed her odd mannerisms. She was unique if nothing else, even if he was doomed to spend the rest of his life chasing after her and pulling innocent beings from between her jaws. Asteraia, as it was, stood as a truly powerful pack and yet surely it could be more? With the right guidance and tutelage surely Nevermore could surpass her Mother as Queen. Rhett was assured of it. Discussing such a thing with Tick Tock herself however was a conversation the boy was assured might not be well received. For all his intelligence he had, at least, inherited far more of the social skills then his own sire lacked. For all his bold brashness he is clever enough to temper his words when needed.
“You called for me?”
The golden boy moved to mount the grassy knoll atop which the alphess herself sat, emerald eyes lifted to her own as he allows his head to dip by way of greeting before moving to seat his golden frame before her in the most polite manner he can find. Perhaps, it could be hoped, she might simply have some sort of pack task for him, something entirely uninvolved with his progressing romance of Nevermore and yet truly he…doubted that.
