Silently the Monster slinks through the part of the fields that remained under the cold clutches of Old Man Winter. Even though spring had sprung in her neck of the woods it appeared that Winter wasn’t ready to relinquish its claim upon the fields. She could respect winter’s demand to keep hold of what it thought it belonged, just as she felt the same way of keeping herself here on this land. After a few years of living in the same space her possessive natured had kicked in tenfold, believing intently that all that dwelled here were hers. She had defended her claim over and over again to the young wench that believed with age she could knock her down, and yet the Monster proved again and again that age wasn’t a factor in defeating your opponent. It was intelligence and experience that would give the winner the upper hand. It was a lesson that Tick Tock was never afraid to teach.
As Alpha she was used to know far too much than she normally would. Before she was an Alpha she was a loner that minded her own business, but now that she was responsible for the wolves that lived within the fields, they were her business, always. She was remained careful to not tread and trespass on others too much, giving them as much space as they required, but at the same time always being there should her presence be needed. Since the absence of Psyche the Monster kept a watchful eye upon Samhain and the children he had. Every now and then she came and brought the small family food during their first few months, taking the time out of her day to play with the pups or teach them the basics of survival. Thoth was an odd pup, but she appreciated his uniqueness. She had grown very much aware of his new playmate and although there was a side of her that wished to tear his puppy friend into shreds for being a trespasser, there was also a side of her that felt Thoth needed that friendship...and so did the trespassing pup.
One grey paw would create a soft crunching sound in the snow as she stepped, dark sapphire eyes narrowed as she caught the familiar scent of the female pup that was constantly coming into the fields. Curious she followed the scent, keeping her grey-trim ears pointed forward to hear and know she was going in the right direction. Like a dark shadow she descended upon the pup, from behind, quietly making her way towards her, releasing a very soft growl to at least alert the pup on who was coming. She remained standing tall as her dial titled to the side, in a curious manner, her cold voice slipped out, gravely, thinking perhaps the girl might need some assistance to see the one she constantly snuck in to see.
“Thoth isn’t here child, are you looking for him?”
