aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Test My Will, Test My Heart

White snow swirled through in the air in intricate circles in the wind that caused the white puffs to move. Winter was in full force in Blossom, and more and more snow joined the piles and drifts that littered the ground. Dens were hidden and water had to be dug out. Prey became scarce and it could lead to fights and violence if wolves were not careful where they did their hunting. Normally the female would stay within the pack lands of Moondown Shadows as things grew more and more cold, but it had been a while since she had been there. She had gone out one day, exploring, and decided to take a break from pack life. Part of it was because of a male she had found, named Typhon. Adara had never been in love before, but he had stolen her heart. The femme didn’t realize that a part of it was because of a chemical that had temporarily ended up in the water of the lake, but that had not been the only contributing factor. It had made her bolder, but overall her feelings for the brute were real. The silvery grey female had spent time with the male, looking forward to when they would go out on adventures together. He sounded like a lot of fun, not staying in one place for long but constantly exploring lands. And Adara had decided she would stay with him and explore the world as well.

The female had been torn about this decision though. She had promised her brother that she would not disappear on him as she had before, though not by choice. The two had been separated at birth by their mother’s means, but that did not excuse what their mother had done just because Adara was too young to know what was happening. But if she went out with Typhon, then she would be breaking her promise to Aindreas. The two had had periods where they were close, but as of late they had spent more and more time apart. Not because of any negative reasons, but just because life happened. The more that Adara thought about Aindreas and the rest of their family, the more she knew she had to drop in for a visit. So the femme headed back to the pack lands to say hello. She first went to the borders of Moondown Shadows, unsure if Aindreas and his young still resided there. Striker’s scent was no longer at the borders, but a strangers was. It seemed that someone else had taken over the pack. She paused, not stepping over into the lands she was no longer a part of, but let lose a howl. Her vocals called to her brother and his young, particularly Sin who she had been closest to of Aindreas’ litter. She wasn’t sure if any of them were there or if they would even come if they were.

Adara waited for a little while, giving them a chance to answer if they wanted to before she headed to her final destination, Aurora Borealis. Her father was the alpha there and it had been far too long since she had visited her father and checked in with him. Whether or not she was accompanied by Aindreas or Sin or any of the other siblings, paws carried her through the trees to the familiar borders. When she reached Aurora Borealis, she paused at the borders, her father and his mate’s scents strong upon the borders, along with some other ones. Some were familiar while others were not, it was obvious that more and more vargs were coming to call Aurora their home. With a smile upon the female’s kissers, she raised her maw to the sky and let out a call. Mostly it was to her father, but it was also to anyone else within Aurora to let them know she was there. Even though she was Kalgalath’s daughter and allowed access to the pack, she didn’t want to take advantage of her father’s hospitality or that of any of the other vargs within his and Sebring’s pack.
