It was a long trip to Glorall but one that the male had made before. As he approached the borders of Eden's pack, Alistair remembered fondly the trip that he had made here with Solaris such a long time ago now. He had learned a lot from the older wolf and he hoped that his former mentor was doing well. Today he was coming here to do much the same thing that he had the first time, re-establish an alliance with the island pack and visit its alpha. Alistair did not have the comfort of having an older, more practiced wolf with him this time, but he was fairly confident in his abilities at this point. He had been serving as a diplomat for Taviora for some time now and he thought that it was only natural that he move up in the ranks.
Aside from that, Solaris had named him as the next-in-line, a worthy successor to the role that the angel had filled. Alistair had been thrilled when he had learned of this, and no longer felt as though he was constantly compensating for his deafness. He was quite secure in his skills nowadays, he spoke both the common and angel tongue fluently and could understand both as well. Perhaps his voice still lacked the tone and intonation that a wolf with functioning ears had, but had began to come to him naturally. The male hoped this his parents looked down upon him with pride for being stronger than the unfortunate handicap that he had been born with.
There was something familiar about a certain scent that hung in the air as he finally reached the border, but Alistair simply attributed it to having been here before. His stark white eyes gazed calmly over the sandy beaches of Glorall, observing the packland for a moment. He had always liked the scent of the sea air, it reminded him of the cliffsides in Asteraia and the childhood that he had spent there. They were fond memories. Before he got too wrapped up in reminiscing, Alistair lifted his head and called for Eden. His howl was strangely monotone, but it conveyed his intentions.
Alistair lowered his head and then his body, sitting calmly at the borders of the pack, not quite confident enough to waltz right in as Solaris had done. Perceptive eyes focused in front of him, he waited for the alpha of Glorall to appear.
