Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It was easy to see that Samia was different since the passing of their parents. She wasn't as outgoing or jovial as she used to be, as if losing her parents had TARNISHED her. He couldn't bear to see it so he made a promise to himself that he would be available for her, to help her see that she's not alone in this world. He would go back to being her knight just as he was when they were pups. He would be there to support her no matter what and be her shoulder to lean on if she was ever in need of it. He couldn't think of any better purpose in life right now. His sister's side is where he needed to be. He wondered about his other siblings sometimes, if they were close by and if they needed him, but Samia was where his heart truly lied. He had a vague wondering if she had found her imprint yet. After all, he hadn't been around much to ask her about it so he would make up for that as well. He wanted to know if his sister's soul was complete. He would have to make sure the male is worthy of her, after all.

He knew that she had always wanted to be a healer while she was growing up. Even as a pup, she liked to look at plants and such. He never understood it. He thought the strong should heal on their own, as nature would have it but at the same time, he understood when others said that if nature didn't want us to learn to heal, they wouldn't have put certain herbs in the ground. It made sense either way. He just hoped that he would never end up hurt enough to need such strange smelling things. He never got to ask Samia if she found someone to help train her in herbs. He would have to catch up with her on a lot of things now. At least his sister didn't have a mate yet. That would be a big pill to swallow for Thor. He had always been so protective over her that to know some other male had taken up the mantle, he would feel lost. Maybe he still had some time before that happened. He could only hope because then there would be talk of children and he would become an uncle. He might already be one actually because he had older siblings. He would have to get with Samia on that. Surely, she had kept in touch with them.

The heat was starting to rise on the beaches as spring gave way to summer. Thor couldn't wait. He loved the heat and would often spend his days running through the shallow surf on the banks. The water felt cool on his skin. As he neared Samia's den, he let such thoughts brush away, wanting to give her his full attention. After all, they had a lot of catching up to do. She looked excited enough to see him when she heard his call, his own ears pricked forward at her answering back and his tail giving a rapid swish. He chuckled when she asked him to come help her gather plants.

"AS LONG AS YOU CAN PROMISE I'M NOT GOING TO TOUCH ANYTHING POISONOUS. AND WARN ME IF THERE'S THORNS."

Giving her a playful wink, he moved into the den beside her and started gathering plants. He glanced over at the turtle shell in puzzlement, one brow rising. That's where she keeps them? Odd, but who was he to judge? He shrugged it off and placed the plants inside before turning his gaze back to his sister.

"SO WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO BESIDES PULLING UP PLANTS? YOU STILL IN TRAINING OR HAVE YOU BEEN PROMOTED?"
