Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Zelda

It had been a long time since she walked out of her home land. Though it was not without a mission. It seemed every time she left nowadays it was always for some purpose, there were very few moments now that she could relax and simply enough the simpler things. Not with the Situation with Aranck having happened and now the dealings with Eden and the night beasts roaming. It was almost night, she only told a few wolves where she was going before leaving the shelter of Taviora to begin her search. It took a few days before she remembered something important. Hyrule spoke often of the assassins, after all it was what he called himself and the wolves who worked with them. He talked about the assassins of old Moladion though, the ones that Heyel himself had trained and started before slowly branching out to those and whoever they taught. Hyrule and his brother Orifel had been two such decendants to learn those skills but he mentioned a few names of wolves who had taught him or others.

Nevaeh, his mother, of course had been one of them. She learned from Heyel, taught Orifel, but there was another older wolfess he mentioned who used to be the assassin for Diveen by the name of Malina. She had been one of Heyel’s students as well and while Hyrule didn’t have any real leads on where she went Zelda figured she would start looking for her anyway. Where better than the free lands? It wasn’t going to be a quiet affair. She knew she would probably have to call to the wolfess a few times before maybe stumbling upon her. She knew chances were slim but Zelda needed more help. Hyrule was so confident in his fighting skills and Zelda knew she needed more help. Alexander had offered but she might have… messed that up. She felt guilty but she needed to do something while her warriors were out hunting a beast and she was twiddling her paws. She wasn’t going to stand for that.

So here she was, she had made it all the way to the riverside now, and the twilight was creating a glowing orange glow over the lands. She figured now was a better time than ever to go ahead and send up her first call. Tilting her head back she called to Malina, knowing it was a long shot. She would probably have many more adventures out to the free lands trying to find her but she had to start somewhere. Lowering herself to her haunches she waited looking a bit woebegone but she had to try and make herself better, more fitting, as the protector of Taviora.
