Winter had finally come. It was a time of year that the great black wolf both loved and loathed all in the same moment. It was true that he savored the chill of winter's biting winds, and the feel of the cold ice beneath his paws... but the snows brilliant white acted like a constant reminder to him... no longer could he linger in the shadows unnoticed. Even in the darkness of a new moon, his jet black coat stood out like a sore thumb. Even now he grimaced as the bright red birds sheltering in the conifer branches above chirped a warning of his passing.
A single dial flickers now as the sound of a single voice rings above the steady monotone chatter of the birds. Piercing yellow gold eyes gaze across the open fields that lay before him as onyx ears stand at attention atop his skull. Another invitation?
A smirk played across his lips now as the large dragga changes direction in midstride and moves towards the singular voice just beyond the rise of rolling hill. The invitation had been clear... a call for companionship and the black wolf was not one to miss out on this... especially when it came from such a clearly feminine voice.
He stops now as his fierce gaze settles upon those gathered below. The caller was female, her fine muzzle lifted as her own keen eyes search for those willing to answer her call. Instinctively he inhales, his broad chest swelling as the black beast let a short deep throated bark ring from his own parted lips before he ingresses further at a cocky trot. It seemed as though he is not the first to answer however as another female appears, one that reminded him much of his pretty little dove Zarah though this girl did not sport the same intriguing cream highlights. But for that she makes up with such an unusual and startling coloration of yellow gold in half her iris. How odd and yet appeasing. He approaches them both now, a rougish smirk playing upon his hansom features as yellow gold eyes glitter. "Well well now, what have we here?" he inquires, his thick black plume waving slowly behind him in greeting.
He turns from the red colored girl to fix the original caller with a suave grin. "The name is Navarre... what brings you ladies out on such a lovely cold day as today?"
