Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Windsong had, what did they call them?...trust issues? Perhaps that was putting in lightly, most would just chalk the female up as flighty and fearful. But there was reasoning behind the madness that was her inconsistency. A father that never much cared for the pups of her litter, minus his spitting-image, her brother. Windsong, herself, had been the runt and had very little to trust amongst her own littermates. Even family wasn't a very promising thing -- what was it they said blood was thicker than water? All lies. And those were just baseline reasons, too, that started off the ragged backstory to the snowy wolf.

A "young" Windsong had once fallen in love -- how preposterous it was that the three-year-old attributed her foolish prior actions to being young and naive. He had been the omega of her family's pack, and since Windsong was only a measly step above him, the duo got along perfectly. In the fragile stillness of night, Windsong and he would fantasize about running off and starting their own pack, escaping the stigma of being the lowest rung of the ladder in their pack. Oh, how the adrenaline soared at the aspect of being the alphas of their own band. One eve, they fancied leaving the pack together. With little planning and only dependency on stealth, they set out the leave the binds of their territory. They only made it so far before the rest of the pack recognized their absence and went searching. In a brief chase, Windsong's love abandoned her and escaped on his own. He left her to fend with the stigma that was a wanna-be runaway, ridiculed for her actions and newly-appointed to the vacated omega position.

Windsong grew to dislike much of those around her. While she eventually escaped on her own, Windsong couldn't imagine much beyond sojourning on her lonesome. The life of a loner furthered her flightiness and reduced her willingness to socialize excessively. And so she stood, half-terrified, half-intrigued, by Exodus. His words made her ears twitch, and his snarky remark drew a faint smirk out of her. At least he had humor. Humor drew the conclusion that he wasn't hostile -- yet.

Cocking her head a bit, her honey-gold eyes took one final consideration of Exodus before pacing forward with mousy steps. "Excuse my silence, you looked like you needed a nap," Windsong commented lightly. "But it is your luck, I'm not very dangerous. Only to rodents, perhaps." She meant to be a bit lighthearted, but Windsong wasn't the easiest conversation to have.
