Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

with every rain comes a fresh breath of life

He had been searching, wishing to help end the cause of the night’s horrors for some time. Alone it was hard, he could only search the night so much in the hopes of finding something. Spring was almost here, a whole year of dealing with these beasts almost passing and still yet the roam. How they hid so well for being so large he never knew, it was as if they were just part of the shadows themselves during the day. Night, he found he heard their calls and roars and so during the night he moved. The snow here was thin, it had been a few days since the last powder had touched the ground. The moon reflected wonderfully over the white of the snow and the flat lands made it easy to see all around him. There would be no surprise attacks here, something he was perfectly fine with.

It had been a while since he just relaxed and enjoyed himself. He guessed he was like his father in that regard. Once his mind was set on a task he worked tirelessly until it was completed. He wasn’t sure all who was joining him tonight, but he hoped soon that Jackson would be back to help. He was a great warrior after all, tall and powerful, that kind of help would be useful in trying to help right the wrong with the balance in Moladion. He wanted to end this… sooner rather than later. The night beasts were getting bolder… they were now starting to infiltrate pack lands, not just roam the freelands. Soon no one would be safe, and how long before the wolves of a pack cannot fight back? Packs had warriors, but only so many could fight and get out and not get hurt. No for the sake of all wolves the slate colored boy knew he had to do something and soon.

He found a paw print, a cougar, but it didn’t look of unusual size. Sniffing it he found the scent diluted with the snow. His baby blue eyes narrowed slightly, lifting his head before taking another good look around. He heard someone approaching, the soft crunch of snow enough to send him on edge this night. Turning he looked to see who it was. Jackson. ”Oh, Jackson. This one is glad you have come. This one does not feel good about tonight.” He says giving the land one last look around looking serious and calm. Part of him hoped the Gypsies, Dragonfly, was okay out here. For him he was actively looking for trouble but someone like her well he didn’t think she would be okay if confronted. He hadn’t seen her since that day they romped about together at the valley, both unsettling and good at the same time. No news was good news sometimes.
