Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He could tell she loved their back and forth banter and he couldn't get enough of it either. He could do this all day, but only with her. He couldn't imagine this connection with anyone else, fate be damned. Yes, he cared about Talien but he didn't even know her. He didn't know a thing about her besides her name. They didn't go out of their way to talk to one another after the bond was formed and he hadn't seen her since that day. In a way, he could feel her in the back of his mind but he had chosen to let her stay there. He knew that he would know if she needed him for anything but until then, Inanna was the only wolf on his mind. She was the only one he wanted. She seemed to enjoy watching him wriggle through that hole a little too much but he would try not to berate her too much about it. She must not have known how truly big and muscular he was now. It must have slipped her mind. She was still used to it only being her, surely, and so the hole was left for dainty feminine figures. Maybe she would think about remodeling now that he had kind of screwed up the hole. Accidentally, of course. She grinned at him and said that she wanted to keep him there through the cold nights. She said that he would have to step on her to get out and he snorted, leaning in close to whisper in her ear.

"I wouldn't dream of leaving you even on a warm night, sweetheart. You needn't worry. I'm not going anywhere, not without you at my side."

He knew he could be a real smooth talker when he put his mind to it and he planned on using every inch of that charm to win her over completely. He hated to leave her too but he didn't want to be seen as clingy and he didn't want her to feel like he was pressuring her. He would wait as long as was needed to prove to her that he was the one for her. Rufus, who? That's what she would be saying by the end of this. He told her to come and she moved right into step with him. He shifted to rub his body alongside hers. He could never get enough of her touch. Everything about her made him feel electric and alive. He chuckled when she said to lead on and even called him a knight! He held his head a little higher before bowing it to her dramatically.

"Right this way, fair princess."

He made a turn straight toward the waves, but as he looked up toward the sun, he smirked knowingly. The waves lapped up around their paws and she might be thinking by now that he simply brought her out here to see the sunrise or something so corny but he had much bigger plans in mind. He was going to lead her across the ocean but he had found this nifty trick not so long ago. He made his way into the water, aware that it was rather cold because of the winter bite. He turned his head to make sure she was coming. The water was shallow though on teh path he walked.

"Make sure you step where I step, unless you want a cold swim."

He grinned back at her. He turned a corner around a huge boulder sticking up out of the water on this coast and that's when it would be apparent. There was a little cove hidden away, a little island just so far out on the water that others wouldn't think to look for it but it was dry on the little hammock. He had found the hidden path to it some time ago but had kept it to himself for just such an occasion. He had set up a little picnic of sorts, a blanket of moss and palm leaves for them to lie on in the sun with some coconuts to drink the milk from and some berries and for the entree, he had caught them a pretty decent pile of crabs and oysters and some fish. The best that Glorall could offer, of course. Only the best for her. He just hoped that she wasn't so bored of the native foods offered here. He paused once they reached the hammock.

"Well?"

He nudged her shoulder.
