Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Return to Lunar Children

i found beauty in everything dark;

The warm spring days following Malleah’s birthing were spent in the vicinity of the crags. Myrria felt a sort of responsibility to remain close to her mother, especially after being away for so damn long. There was a lot of lost time to be made up for and she blamed herself for even having to do it in the first place. Had she not ran off in search of Carnifex, like a naive child, she wouldn’t have been lost in the tundra for three years. But she was determined to make it right by her mother in one way or another.

Although, visions of the large female she had met in the forest continue to raid her mind the longer she stays away from her. She knows that they should be together, it was part of the deal that had been made. Myrria just couldn’t leave her mother right now - not so soon after they had come together again and especially while she was recovering. She will have to return to Sekhmet soon but for now she will hold off.

The young one was a busy body, that was for certain. She was constantly awake and running about the den site every morning nearly at the crack of dawn and her play fights with Exodus were always loud enough to wake Myrria from any sort of sleep. This morning her high-pitched voice comes chirping from below the covered outcrop that Myrria had made her own. She wakes from a light slumber to twitch an ear in the direction of the child, still remaining in her lateral position and unwilling to get up unless absolutely necessary. She was fine playing with Freud, after all.

However, the sound of another voice piping up caused Myrria to prop up on an elbow, listening closer now that there was something interesting happening below. Deep pink eyes stare out into the horizon as she trains her ears on the young voice that has joined Lucia, her head cocking slightly to the side as he speaks in a language unknown to her. It is then that she decides to stand and begin to descend the rocks to where the two young ones now converse, keeping herself perched at a reasonable distance above them on a small boulder. Her good eye notices the strangeness of the boy, his colors, and her nose twitches slightly to inhale his even stranger scent. He smelled of salt and earth, something akin to the northern beaches that she and Malleah had been on.

She does not speak yet, just watches them to see how Lucia may react. There is a slight bit of protectiveness toward the newborn girl, if only because they are tied by their mother’s blood. But she still keeps her distance most of the time - quietly observing out of sight so that Lucia does not know she is there. It is an interesting relationship and one that Myrria does not completely understand nearly all of the time. ”Do you know this boy?”, she finally asks Lucia in a rather dry manner, her voice now femininely smooth from more frequent use.
