He had something to go on now. A name, Zafira. And a destination, Glorall. Doesn't mean she ever made it to the beach pack but it was worth a shot. Someone should have heard or seen something. At least Zharko would be safe. He went back to Iromar with Jackdaw where Pine offered them sanctuary and he would get to meet his other siblings. It would be a sight to see, he was sure. All the children of Aranck gathered together. He wondered roughly how many there were and how many mothers were involved. Did all of them get abandoned as children or did some mothers try to raise them the right way? Maybe some day he would find out but for now, he was on a mission. He hoped Alistair didn't think he was jumping ahead on their group mission for Zelda. He didn't want to make the wolf think he was in any way trying to betray his trust. No, this was something completely different. He knew the other mission was something more delicate, something that needed a lot more time and evidence. But for this, he was just gathering information. He was just trying to reunite a brother and sister.
Hopefully the girl who tried to hurt Zafira, the girl that Zharko killed or at least helped or watched her get killed, didn't get her slave ambitions accomplished before she was put down. He didn't know for sure who was responsible for her death but he had an inkling from the way Zharko was acting at the sight of her skull that he knew something more. Still, the girl was dead and from the sounds of it, she wasn't turning into a very innocent female anyway. Doesn't mean she deserved to die but it also doesn't mean she wouldn't have ended up on his list at some point in the future anyway. At least he knew she wasn't innocent so Zharko didn't have to go on his list. At least not as long as he changed his ways. He had said the girl wanted to hurt Zafira, wanted to make her into a slave here. He hoped the pack wouldn't allow such a thing, much less welcome pups into their folds as slaves. That was just cruel.
He made his way to the invisible borders, stopping just short so no one would think he was tresspassing. He started sniffing around the borders, trying to find any scent similar to Zharko's. If she was his littermate, they should have a familiar pattern to their scents. Maybe it would bring something. Otherwise, he was sure someone would come through patrolling the borders soon enough and then he would have someone to question. Someone had to have seen or heard something. He was banking on it.
