Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Meryl
don't look for me cause i'm too far gone...

He was never blood in this family, but it was his family with no question. They were his brothers and sisters, his nieces and nephews, and while it was clear as day that he was not their blood always the older male had been treated as such by everyone, except for maybe Azrael for a time, in this family. So when Celeste told him that there was to be a family reunion there was no question when the aging healer replied to her. Of course he would be there. He didn’t know any of Zaphkiel’s children, all his other nephew’s and one niece, he did know where from Guardian and more recently Celeste. He had of course known about Zaphkiel’s first litter, but he hadn’t heard about the second not until after he arrived that was.

He trotted easily over the lands, though it had been quite some time since he had been out here. It was with a bit of a jolt that he realized the last time he had left Diveen for any amount of time was for his parents funeral. It had been quite a long time since he had done little but kept to his healer duties in Diveen. Though with his track record out in the freelands, perhaps it wasn’t surprising the rather small male didn’t wish to leave to often. Before he departed he made sure to let Yin know she was welcome if she wanted come. She was family too after all, but he would understand if she wanted him to simply enjoy his family. He actually rather liked the young male Celeste had chosen, a healer, with a good head on his shoulders that Meryl could tell, then there was the whole he HAD to be special to be able to put up with Celeste’s outbursts. Though Meryl noticed there seemed to be less since she became a parent.

She matured a lot, he was proud of her, all his little brothers and sisters, though some had gone wandering the world he was generally happy that so many were still in Moladion for him to watch over in place of his parents now. Meryl knew he had arrived though the moment he heard yelling. Yes… that seemed to be a trait that was unfortunately passed down time and time again. Though the childish shouts of his nephew Rurik were not unwelcome to his ears. He found himself always enjoying the play of children, no matter how old he got.

He came upon the group, not before spotting an older boy, who unmistakably must have been Zaph’s with another much smaller boy that to Meryl’s surprise also had the thick forest scent of Taviora and his brother, and then Rurik. He blinked this was the first he was hearing of a second litter from Zaphkiel but he figured he could edge it all out of his brother later once he caught up with his boys it seemed.

”Celeste, Nord.” He greeted coming around next to them looking at the younger wolves play. A warmth flew through him to be standing there with so much family, it felt amazing to be surrounded in them again.
