Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Kajika was growing bold as fall had come upon them. He hadn't left the pack to join the play date the alpha of Iromar had invited them to, not that he cared to go. The young wolf was perfectly happy to wander Taviora. Though now, the chocolate and white youth decided it was time to venture outside the pack. Not even a year old, and he moved quietly. Perhaps it came from his size, or the already visible natural build he possessed. It was as though he was designed to be quick and quiet. Today, he was stalking a squirrel. A small enough creature that he could hunt it himself, and certainly not so large it would cause him problems. His bright cerulean gaze watched the creature with an intensity of a true hunter. Kajika crouched, continually creeping forward on his prey.

He would catch the beast, he told himself. His breathing was steady. It seemed almost natural to the boy. Slowly, the brindled boy moved. Until the moment was right. He had watched the hunters from afar. He knew he could do well among them. This would prove it! Kajika's tail swayed ever so slightly, his ears laid back. The only sound was the whisper of a fall breeze. The squirrel had its back to him, the timing was perfect. Or so he thought from his observations of the hunters. To his luck, it was! It was an exhilarating feeling as his tiny jaw wrapped around the squirrel's body and it squealed until all the life was gone from its body. Kajika could only grin as he now trotted along, his catch causing blood to trickle along his smiling maw.
