Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Cuirass wasn't stupid by any means. This was personal for this wolf and he wanted to know why. It had to do with more than just the death of his brother. It had to. Sure, death of a family member was a big thing and it was understandable to want vengeance for that. He got that. He wasn't about to tell the wolf where Kattari was. It was probably only a matter of time before he figured out that Cuirass was related to her. There weren't too many red wolves left in Moladian after the demons, angels, and his parents. They were few and far between. That is, until Belhara gave into him. Then his lineage would live on and maybe there would be more red wolves to live up to their name.

The wolf looked amused, giving him a short but sweet answer. Cuirass could only chuckle and nod.

"You do, huh? Then why was a wolf able to come into your pack, the assassin stronghold of Moladian, and kill one of your own, hm? What shit were you getting done, then?"

He was trying to get under the wolf's skin, to see how far he could push him. The wolf said he was just saying what he wanted and Cuirass gave him a smirk and nod. Okay so that much was true. His lips quirked when the wolf said that he'd already told him why he wanted him. He tilted his head.

"So you would kidnap me to Diveen to make me tell you about the wolf that supposedly killed your pack mate? How would you get me to talk? Torture? The nice treatment?"

He purposely didn't give him an answer about them being related. He wasn't going to give him that satisfaction. One brow rose at the mention of something left behind though. His eyes glittered.

"Body parts and a cold corpse are usually the only things left behind after a cannibal attacks."

His ears pricked though, ready and waiting if this wolf was going to offer up anything good. Maybe he knew something Cuirass didn't. His last comment about assumptions made Cuirass laugh.

"Like you assuming you can call me friend. We haven't even exchanged names, 'friend."

He emphasized the word with more than a little sarcasm. But then he smirked.

"I'm Cuirass, one of the last of the Satanican line. And you are?"

He could try to keep things light and civilized for now. No need for things to get tempestuous and unstable. They could be gentlemen for now, right?
