I feel the static of a shadow in your place,
I see a savage in the still upon your face.

He’s on her quick. It’s a surprise but it feels good. Echidna closes her eyes, lets the sensation of him engulf her. This was like the old days, when they hunted together and were driven mad with blood lust. Instinctively her slick hands reach out, she fingers grip the sleeves of his shirt. Not one thought passes through her mind, she’s both filled to the brim and empty. It’s heady, surreal. She kneads her fingers into his arms soft at first but gradually rougher, until she is satisfied with the notion of bruises on his milky skin.

She wants to kiss him.

Is it just the blood or something else? Echidna was brave enough to take a kiss if she wanted because even if he swatted her away from him, it would be worth it. Besides, she enjoyed a challenge just as much as he did. She moves her hands from his arms to around his neck, pulls him against her. He is light, she thinks, but the weight is familiar. It brings back so many good memories to her and maybe that’s she needs right now. Echidna has so many things she wants to tell him in this moment –

But, she kisses him instead.

Let’s her lips softly press against his. Her lips cup his bottom lip and she wants more, her tongue flicks restlessly in her mouth but she doesn’t quite know how he feels. Echidna pulls back only a fraction, her dark eyes rove over his face.

“Well,” she starts and she grins at him. Her teeth are orange, blood between them. It is smeared around her mouth from the kiss. “At least you taste the same as before,” Echidna says in a playful tone and gives him the next move.
