It had been a rather abysmal spring so far; the rain was relentless and the winds even more so making the entire place near uninhabitable. It left the dark woman confined within her den, which she had moved more inland and closer to Eden’s own after their earlier… discussion. It had both clarified and muddled their relationship in turn, but she was pleased to have a better idea of where they stood to one another. She had considered the idea of moving in directly with him afterwards, but held off for now perhaps some things were better left to mystery thought on the still-cold spring nights she did often wonder what it might be like to have him pressed against her for warmth. These times she missed the feeling of their children curled against her side, though a sharp movement at her stomach reminded her that wouldn’t be the case for long.
Her choices in winter had been her own, a mixture of both curiosity and instinctual drive and as her sides had grown larger than the previous time there was no doubt more pups would be coming due to it. Often she wondered how their bloods would mix and mingle, would she be able to tell who belonged to whom? Their fathers were certainly different wolves, two different pieces of the whole that she now carried. Her time with each of them had been different, Eden familiar while the connection she shared with Arturo had flavored their time together differently. She had almost felt badly about his excitement during the act, excitement she could feel through their connection. For her it had been more experimentation, as always seeing the cause and effect that led one thing to another.
She had no doubt that Eden would know she had shared time with each of them, the last thing the man she had chosen was ignorant of anything that went on. It wasn’t something they discussed, but knowledge existed between the two of them just as she knew Eden had gone to Asteraia himself to meet with her White Knight. Theirs was a web that seemed to be woven tighter and more intricately together as time passed. As ever time was the only thing that would tell the outcome but as always she was vastly interested to see the result.
Too much thinking made her feel antsy, and being almost forcibly secluded in her den with the occasional cramps clenching her stomach did not help matters or her mood in the least until she had finally worked herself up enough that even despite the driving rain and wind she needed to take it all out on someone. Talk about pregnancy hormones. In a huff she marched out of her den, the wet quickly staining her coat darker than ever as she marched toward Eden’s den. Once or twice the pain in her side which was only growing stronger stopped her in her tracks momentarily. Still she made it to his den before long, huffing at the entrance for a moment and when he didn’t magically appear storming inside.
It was naturally warmer within the den, the water running in rivers down the slender woman’s side as she her displeasure was more heightened by the fact that he wasn’t inside of it. She clenched her eyes shut once more, her throat working to form a growl though it came out only as sharper breathing as the pain seemed to increase in both intensity and length suddenly. She as panting by the end of it as knowledge sparked within her eyes, whether by sheer amount of time or her irritation the product of all her brooding and experimentation would come to fruition today. She paced around the interior of the den, slightly vexed to not be in her own space but in turn also humored at the fact that she would make first use of Eden’s in such a manner. Children of a foreign kind born in the heart of the others home, amusing if nothing else.
Small paws wove a track around the walls of the den, pacing until her legs shook and she was forced down and onto her side, the pain intense but typical of what she had felt before and so she was unconcerned to once more be doing this alone. By default Eden would find her eventually and she wondered if Arturo would know something was happening, what was happening. The contractions came and went and by the end she had the four small bundles of fur tucked between her legs, two boys and two girls and all of them various shades of gray and black, though one girl sported brown instead. All seemingly healthy enough, at least with no apparent issues though like Enoch those could show themselves in time, and with that she lay her head down on the soft bedding and let her brilliant eyes drift closed until someone came to disturb her.
