Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Rea was never impressed with her catches. They were small and barely enough. She had to hunt all the time to stay somewhat healthy. They were still food though; something in her belly. It as something at least. A pack; a family. That would help, but she didn't have those things. Not now. She'd ruined her chances and it had cost her everything but her life. They had cast her away without a second glance. Taken up and pushed her to the edges of their territory. They had told her that she was no longer welcome and death would come to her should she ever return. So she'd run. Far and fast. Rea had vowed indeed to never go back. An unwelcome wolf was no creature safe at all. She wanted her life. It was unfortunate that this had been the cost though. It was almost as if to be in solitary confinement in a world full of life.

Midnight stain was dark in the growing light but apparently, she wasn't alone for long. She hadn't been invisible to the eyes of another. Maybe that was a good thing. Maybe not. Rea wouldn't be sure but she couldn't run from every stranger right? She wanted to belong somewhere; to have a family. This roughing it thing just wasn't for her. It never would be. How could she make things right though? In reality; she could not. But a chance for a new life? Yeah, this was something that Andreania could do.

It was the scent that first approached her. Metallic and oh so delicious. Surely though; that meant that it had been someone's kill? Yeah, she couldn't be lucky enough to have such a scent drawing close to her without someone attached to it. Those dancing; neon eyes swiftly scanned her surroundings. In the darkness; he stuck out like a sore thumb. Pale cream and ochre. Her eyes watched him; taking in his presence and then, that bird. The smell was glorious but she would be a fool to even attempt it. She was smaller; he was tall and thickly muscled. No. It'd be a death sentence and Andreania knew this. Food perhaps, but not her kill. Pity really. It made her belly almost growl and her senses tingle. Such a tantalizing scent.

Andreania hadn't a clue what was running through his thoughts right in those moments that he watched her. No, she was no mind reader after all. It would make her shiver though; shake with realization that she was being looked upon like a morsel of meat. A tail to go after. She did not know these thoughts however and his voice sang through her mind then. There was nothing threatening about how he stood in her presence. "Ah yes, the air is crisp. Chilly perhaps but manageable." Those duo-tone eyes studied him curiously now as the inquiry found her ears and she brought her chin down a little. Her eyes cast from his for a moment and her voice was soft upon reply. "Just exploring. Was hoping I'd be lucky enough to run into someone." She was hoping for company after all, and being alone just didn't suit the smaller she-wolf.

Those eyes of hers cast toward the felled bird again and she couldn't help but lick her muzzle. Oh he'd surely seen that! She could have kicked herself were that possible. Her ears pulled back a little toward her skull. Not of fear, but of disappointment in herself. She was hungry and it looked so good. It was not her kill though; she had no claim or right to it.
