Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Test My Will, Test My Heart

Life for the Tempest had come to a standstill. It felt like she was doing the same thing day in and day out. There was too much routine to her life and not enough spontaneity. Before she had felt that life was too hectic. That things would never calm down or slow down. And now she was on the opposite end of the spectrum. Everyday she awoke in her den, alone. Went out to explore the pack, usually leaving the pack for days at a time because she felt too confined being in one place. But she would always return. Not necessarily because she wanted pack life, but because she had beings there that she cared about. Not only did she care about her siblings within the pack, but she was a protector to Zawyne. It still haunted her what happened to the other two Arcus Irae that she had been charged with protecting. And she had to fight back the thoughts that threatened to consume her into feeling like a complete and utter failure. She would do anything in her power to protect Zawyne and keep her safe forever.

With a shake of her head, Adara pushed the dark thoughts away. She didn’t need to think about the past right now. There was far too much in it that was disturbing. She could only hope that from here on out she would have a brighter future. And that she could help the rainbow have one as well. It had been a while since she had spent much time with the younger femme, and she decided it was time that they get together. She didn’t want to force her friendship on the other fae, but she wanted to at least check in with her every now and then. Her sleek silvery white form padded silently through the trees, debating where she would want to go to speak with Zawyne. Deciding on the spot, she reached the edge of the packlands and let out a howl to call to the femme. She could of course always choose not to come. Adara wasn’t demanding her presence, just requesting it. They would never become friends if it wasn’t on both of their terms.

Adara waited for a few moments at the border before she pressed forward. She knew that Zawyne would be able to follow her scent should she chose to come. After some time in the trees, she caught site of the colorful meadow that she had decided upon. Half of the area here had been burned away and had never grown back properly, but the other half was growing as the spring went on. The femme’s unnaturally bright blue eyes looked up to the sky, seeing the birds fly by, no cares in the world. She wished sometimes that she could fly away from the world like there. But she was tightly rooted to the ground, and always would be. When she turned her gaze to the side, she had a perfect view of the sun setting. It was still early enough in the year that darkness took over quickly, and it would feel like the dead of night soon enough. But Zawyne was old enough to travel in the evening, she would be safe.
