Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Ah, she does not speak it? I give an understanding nod at her words, though I'm glad to see she does not seem bothered that I had to try. Who could blame me, after all? Demons were once such a proud clan here within Moladion and yet, they are so few between now. It would have been interesting to have had them return not simply in name but in practice too - then again, who remembers those practices? Even Siren seems unable to completely recall just what being of their kin means. But...I doubt she recalls much of anything.

But she is just as curious in any case. So I do my best to listen as she offers me just enough to tease trust - a name, the inkling of history, familiar names to sow seeds within me. This is what the younger alphas often lack when they first come into power - these clever, subtle motions. "Ah, two great teachers. It makes sense that you seem to be wearing leadership quite well thus far." I give her a small grin, and in truth, it is honest. After all, how long had Blackthorne lasted before howls of rage and challenge had been issued from across the territories? Hours? Minutes? Perhaps they had never stopped from the moment he had first even thought of Iromar. As for Avery? I do not think any other pack has even uttered a word of disagreement with her reign. At least, not so openly.

"Pleasure, Avery. I am Eden." How strange it still feels to utter my own name even now. "I have no issue with Iromar. In fact, should I not be asking what Glorall can do?" I am puzzled, truly, for does she not know how deeply imbedded Blackthorne and his blood is within Glorall? His father has served since my initial year of ruling, my sister carried his children and even now, his kin rest safely within the confines of the territory...I had expected she would be asking us just what our relationship with the moors is. "To desire peace between packs is an honorable thing. Many have strived for it, after all. I do wonder...did you expect there would be some that might resist that goal simply because of the territory you chose to rule?"
