For weeks now the young pup had been trying to get away from the group…especially from Hope. The older femme kept a very close eye on the royal group of Akaska Stratum. And it had begun to grow quite annoying. Ellie was just so bored! She didn’t want to sit in the den anymore. She didn’t want to go out on escorted explorations. She wanted to be free! Everytime so far that Ellie thought she had gotten away, Hope would come scoop her up and bring her back. It just wasn’t fair.
The strawberry colored pup sighed as she tried to get comfortable once more in the den. But she just couldn’t. Looking to the others, and seeing that they were all sound asleep, she decided to try and slip out. She entirely expected Hope or one of her siblings to wake up and ruin her morning, but someone she got further away than she normally did. With a quiet giggle, the glowing femme began to run through the trees. She had done it! She was out on her own for the first time. And she was ready to take on the world for real. The only companion she had was her shiny lightly colored shell. It was the first gift she had been given when she came to this new land, and she carried it everywhere with her. She was careful with it, keeping it between her juvenile incisors so it would be safe. But she didn’t trust her siblings not to lose it or crack it, so she always kept it with her.
With another giggle, the femme leapt over some rocks, her plume wagging behind her, leaving a shimmering glow behind her. The young femme had come to a waterfall, and it was the most beautiful thing that she had ever seen. Ellie carefully put her shell down on some leaves, away from the rushing water. She couldn’t bear to lose it. But she did want to explore the waters a bit. She wasn’t sure if she knew how to swim, and she wasn’t going to risk it now with these unknown waters. But she dipped her jet black paws into the water, her star shaped violet eyes catching the beautiful site of the falls. Her unique markings of a half moon on her cheek and a full moon on her shoulder shone bright white with her shimmering pelt. She was one of the more unique creatures, though she didn’t know it yet. So far she only knew Hope and her siblings. And she had no idea how different other wolves could look.
