If Rougaru didn't mend their relationship it was bound to just get worse because she would challenge him for her freedom again and again until something happened. He would treat her like the other mares or she would find a way to leave and that was final. Even if it meant taking both his foals away from him. Because she would take Noctis with her along with this unborn foal.
