While she waited, she conjured up all kinds of images of what Lucia might be like. Was she some rough-and-tumble girl who threw punches and asked questions later? Or, maybe she was some kind of princess, a spoiled girl who got everything she wanted with a mere command? Ella couldn't decide which possibility would be more fun! Either way, she'd have somebody to rough-house with. The only thing that would change would be just how receptive they'd be to it! What she hadn't imagined was the actual Lucia. In fact, she likely wouldn't have imagined a girl like Lucia at all had she not met her.
When Lucia emerged, Ella hadn't exactly been paying that much attention. She'd been distracted by her imaginings, instead. Lucia's bark caught her off guard, but her actual arrival had her stunned, and she stumbled slightly on her stone throne. Instinctively, she grinned with embarassment, but when she actually saw Lucia, she furrowed her brows, blinked and jerked her head to a tilt. She hadn't expected somebody so striking, or somebody who spoke so gently.
Nonetheless, Ella was quick to compose herself. She grinned, broad and snaggled, and leapt down with a thud. "Yeah, I called ya'!" She shook her fur off, a small flurry of snow falling off her like stars. "I'm Ella! Yer' old man - well, mine too - sent me lookin' for ya," she clarified, straightening her posture. Lucia was, by all means, older than she had expected and yet, Ella didn't exactly get the impression that she was an adult. Nah, she thought, she didn't seem like some grumpy old adult at all! She was all...light and friendly. She'd even been barking and waving her tail without any reservations! It didn't take much for Ella to like somebody.
"Dunno' why though," she quickly addressed what she imagined would be the first question then followed up with a hearty shrug. "My old man says we're stayin' with yer' family in the Crags or somethin', and gave me the name Exodus so ye'd know I wasn't tellin' lies." She smirked and shook her head, as if it were just ridiculous for a wolf to assume she'd be lying! Why would she even lie about something like that, anyway? Morgan, she thought, always had a touch too much paranoia or something about him, but then again, he said she had not enough of it.
