Spring couldn't come soon enough. It was like she was losing her play mates one by one! She heard Noctis had been sent to the Lagoon, something about her father not being happy with him. She didn't know what he did exactly but she only hoped the Lagoon didn't have snakes for his sake. Akela was still around somewhere to get into trouble with but she couldn't find him for the moment. There was a strange incident where a young stallion came and talked to her father. She could have sworn she heard her name but she couldn't get close enough to be sure. She tried to eavesdrop as long as she could but she didn't want to get caught either so she was only left to wander. Should she ask her father about it? She didn't know if he would tell her or not. She respected her father and all he'd done for her and her mother and the herd but she knew he kept secrets when he felt it better for the herd. She hated secrets. Her mother was pregnant again and she wondered if she would have a little brother or sister come spring. Would they play with her? She'd make them if they didn't. Arching her neck, she tossed her head with a scream and tore off across the beach kicking up her heels and bucking. Swishing her tail, she pricked her ears and looking around, wondering if anyone was around to harass today.
