Every time you say, “Top 40,” you are saying “Casey Kasem” and “Dick Clark.” Kasem created and hosted “American Top 40” and “Casey’s Top 40.” Dick Clark called his show “American Bandstand,” but it was the same music and the same format. Kasem and Clark each piddled with some music from the British Invasion and a bit of Surf music, but underneath it was still the same stuff they had been playing

All the people you mentioned from WHB played the same music and the same format as Kasem and Clark. You and everybody you mentioned in the post above have been trying to resurrect “Chu-lang, Chu-lang, Chu-lang” and Phil Spector’s Sound-A-Likes since the 1960s, but it’s dead. Maybe someday, it will also be gone.
