I think....

1. Much as I love the idea of extra time, I feel 8 months is just a bit too long, and anything in between would be too tricky to be practically managed

2. I think per season if we stay with the month : season ratio that we currently have. If it changes to an 8 month year, 2 months per season, the challenge caps should adjust to maintain the ratio we have currently. Even with the current rule in place where the challenged party is free to accept/decline any further challenges issued them beyond the first, I feel like it may serve to slow down plots some if a character is only required to accept 1 actual challenge per 2-month season, especially when things like player absences are taken into consideration (barring land-owning/leadership position characters from being challenged during the period of absence). As an example, if I want to challenge for a character, but I'm not quick enough to be first in to challenge the lead, I may have to wait 2+ months (or more, maybe even up to 4+ months if I also happen to be absent for a short time in the new season and someone else challenges my target while I'm away, just as quite a specific/unlikely/worse-case example) to try challenge for the character again, and that could end to plots/muse stagnating a bit.

I know there is the avenue for Raiding, but I personally don't see myself utilising this feature all that much, or in a position to find them a reliable alternative, given the time difference from where I am compared to a lot of others, though I have no problem with this feature in general, nor do I mind other people favouring it.

3. I feel like the cap for exp could stay as per season, though that might make it tricky to track if the battle cap is per month >_< I think this would prevent characters levelling up so quickly, and as Uforia mentioned, place more of an emphasis on other ways to gain exp.

I do think that Random Events would be good to keep as per month, to serve as another way a few players could gain an exp point per month.

4. I think these could stay as per season, for reasons already mentioned, such as having time to explore the consequences of these threads more, successful or not.

5. I like the idea of there being an annual election once an in-game year where the entire leadership is considered, but if there are absent leaders/positions become vacant due to a character being retired or a player being away for an extended time/falling inactive, I think any active member should be able to call for an election to fill the vacant position, in addition to current rules remaining in place regarding mutinies & the minimum number of eligible members being present.
