She had always been a terrible recluse and a terrible support for Solomon. She had been too disobedient, too skittish, and too little in touch with him. Even now, she had bonded with him only to hide away in her little grove yet again. It is perhaps for this reason that she ends up remaining laying on the earth after the last fretful push shoved the large young boy onto the earth behind her.
She is relieved to hear him snort the grime free of his own nostrils, the feathery toes beginning to form around his feet as she smiles faintly with her cheek nestled onto the pine bedded earth that had housed her every joy and despair. "You look so like your father… Jachin." The shudder of breath that comes after that last word is the last he saw of her, the young boy distraught but determined to save his little brother from the hideaway cove where his mother would forever lay.
