Gambler, you hit that on the head. This or any other 213 only want the best safety for all 5000 members. The officer of the Company, and the four other team members are the first to see if the the team's gear is donned correctly. If not say something to corect the issue now....everyone is resposible for safety on the fire scene, and off the scene.
Chiefs, and Officers are not your friend, they are your leaders. If your officer remains quite, say something.... the tems safety is always first. We have this safety equipment from injuries and deaths from past incidents. Use it all the time, it will protect you. Wacth of for holes in the roof , floots ect.....If the team is awear of a danger on scene. ANNOUNCE on the radio so all memebrs on scene are awear of where, and what the danger is at that incident location. that announcement should be repeated every 5 min to reinforce the alert. Be safe brother and sisters, we are our own keepers. Replies:
