 she doesn't like the way he eyes her. It was as if she were a bug under a microscope. She shifts uncomfortably under his gaze, awaiting to hear vocals of welcoming or even scorn. Perhaps this wasn't the day to confront the big stallion. As she stares at the ground, ears slanting backwards with uneasiness, the silence drags on forever and she just has to look up at him again. he was speaking now, but not her. She follows his eyes to the new mare, a champagne. A bitter taste fills Co's mouth, but she turns away with a snort. These mares were of more importance to him. She was the bug who wasn't welcomed, and for some reason she was fine with that.
Another mare appears but like her brother the dark mare stays at the edges of the group, and yet even she gains the stallions attention. Her eyes narrow on him when he gives her the briefest of glances, before yet again ignoring her. She had, had enough. She couldn't utter a single word at him, yell at him or scream. She wasn't one for the cheeriness. She would be the loner who couldn't talk. She simply lays her ears back even further at everyone's voices. Turning on her dark heels, she pushes past them, heading to the spot where her brother had been, and there he was, still asleep under the pines. He looked so sweet and content. Dipping her nose down, she nudges his shoulder quite roughly, jostling him awake till he stands on shaky black legs. His left eye watches her warily before she is shoving him into the trees. He moves with hesitation, questioning her behavior with little glances but is soon set right with a flash of teeth and is moving quickly through the trees.
Costello was angry, and hurt. She needed time alone with her twin before the brute came after them. She knew he was going to get rid of them.
