Home Is Where The Heart Is...

Kahawa, arriving first as usual, pulled herself up as the sea spit her out and deposited her on the shore. Amour, not feeling as clumsy anymore, scrambled up the shore after Kahawa. The red roan filly was racing around to dry off, quickly drying. Amour gave up and stood still, shaking, then scoping the landscape for Nimbus. "Nimbus?" he asked, finally finding him. "Hey. Nobody's here." The reddish stallion walked forward towards the blue roan. Kahawa grinned, slowing to a walk and halting by her father and Nimbus. Her coat was mostly dry by then, making it sleek and shiny. Amour was still soaking wet, dripping constantly. Rolling her eyes, Kahawa said, "Dad, shouldn't you dry off a bit?" The eighteen hand-high stallion smiled, "Nahhh." It's hot. Probably a good idea that I stay wet. I'll stay cooler like this. You're the one who should get wet again." The filly looked up. "Ummm... No." she sassed. Kahawa wasn't the type to get wet, or even stay too dry. Finding a bit of grass, Kahawa began nibbling at the patches. Food was the key to survival, other than water, when you lived in a desert. Hopefully there'd be enough for everyone.
