a lover sinking in the sea

and the birds will sing our song in halcyon

The same mare from the Falls stands there on the shore, staring down at something in the sand. Freya, to say the least, is shocked. She had never thought she would run into this mare again. Their brief encounter in the Falls had been... interesting. But they had went their separate ways - the spotted mare to wherever it was she was headed, and Freya back to the Inlet to continue with her happy herd life. What were the odds that they would run into each other again?

Shaking her head, she approaches the unnamed female, lowering her eyes to the sand and focusing on the object laying there. What was that thing? The dun stares down at the odd hunk of foreign material, observing it with a curious gleam in her blue eyes. "What's that? I've never seen anything like it." she asked, looking up into the face of her companion. Perhaps the speckled mare could provide some sort of explanation as to what it was, or what its purpose was. It was nothing that belonged here. Perhaps this mare had brought it with her - like she had brought the rope, before.

Shifting slightly, she glances over her shoulder, figuring Dogun would make an appearance soon. It was only a matter of time. He was always there to greet the newcomers. After all, as king, it was his duty to know who came and went from his lands. Until he showed, though, she would make small talk with this female. "It's been awhile since I last saw you at the Falls. Have you been well?" She asks, offering a gentle smile. "I never caught your name. I'm Freya."
