In the name of the King!

During their stay in the Falls Braylen had finally figured out that she was blind. He had studied her often as she rested and in the silence it had dawned on him what the cloudiness meant. Feeling stupid he had berated himself the entire time of her rest and was quiet the next day, still aggravated at himself for his mistake. But that mistake was not her, Braylen would never hold what she could not help against her.

“I know” Braylen replies to her statement of being blind as he stands just to her right, a few paces farther up the beach. Turning he moves back over to her and reaches out his nose to lightly brush hers. “But that makes no difference to me.” He reassures her, hoping that she will find truth in the tone of his voice before he shifts to lead her to a worn trail with not many things to trip on.

“My name is Braylen.” He says, turning his blue gaze over his shoulder in hopes that she was following. “The lead stallion here is my father, Lyden. There will be many others for you to meet when you are ready.” The young stallion did not want to push the mare too quickly into a situation she did not feel comfortable in. And only when she was relaxed and had her bearings in this territory would he leave her side.
