Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

we're sick like animals

She smells them first - Jormungandr's familiar scent, the smell of the pines and the sap clinging to it as she breathes it in. He hears them in the distance, Felony's sharp words echoing inside his ears. They make their way to the group, Zhenya's heart racing in anticipation of seeing her long-lost friend, and Dixon's blood pumping with pent-up rage at the fact that another Forest mare was intruding in his home. Had Lyden sent her to do his dirty work? What a pathetic little man he is, if that was the case.

They each arrive at the same time, striding over to the group side-by-side. Zhenya settles herself next to Felony, Mikhail at her side, and Dixon stops a few feet away, between her and the red roan yearling whom he does not know. He turns his dark eyes on the buckskin mare, ignoring the children at her side. "You belong to Lyden?" he questions, staring her down with sharp, lightless eyes. "He's been causin' trouble 'round these parts. And his mare - Caesisus. She's stirred up quite a bit of drama as well." He informs her, his tone gruff. The thought of Caesisus makes a smile pull at his lips, but he keeps his lips pursed into a thin, tight line, shoving the thought of her away - he will not allow himself to get distracted when dealing with herd business. This is not the time nor place to be swooning over a mare whom he barely knows, and likely wants nothing more than companionship from him.

Zhenya, who stands next to him, steps forward and nuzzles Jormungandr's cheek affectionately, a smile appearing on her whiskered lips. "Jormungandr." she says softly, stepping back and settling herself next to Felony. "It's been so long. How have you been?" she makes small talk, knowing she doesn't have a lot of time to speak with the buckskin mare before the men send her off to deal with private matters. Dark eyes shift to the pretty filly at Gandy's side, her smile growing. "I see you have a new little one. She's a beauty, isn't she? You must be proud." She looks to Mikhail, who stands snugly against her side, staring down the bloodmarked filly with cool amber eyes. "Go on, Mikhail. Say hello." She encourages her son, but he remains silent, pushing himself further into her side. "He's very stubborn." Zhenya explains to the small group, turning to look back at them. "He takes after his father." Her tone is light, the quip obviously meant as a joke, an attempt to lighten the mood a bit.

Next to her, Dixon huffs, stomping a hoof impatiently into the mire. "What have you come for?" he asks, wondering what another Forest resident could possibly be doing in the Lagoon after what transpired between himself, Felony and Lyden. He figured that Lyden would have warned his harem not to go near the Lagoon, but apparently he was as brainless as Dixon thought he was. That, or this mare had a mind of her own and wasn't afraid to go against her stallion's rules. Good for her.

"Dixon."
"Zhenya."
