It was strange not having a home. Or rather, it was strange not having somewhere in these lands to call home. For many years she had wandered, but then, she supposed, her home had been wandering. Now she was living in one place, except not. Diveen was not her home, at least it did not feel like it.
The shadows that had plagued her did not lead her in that direction. They had led her back to Modolion, that was certain. There had been no doubting the shadows then. But now they seemed confused. She followed them, but they seemed almost to lead her in circles. She was certainly supposed to be here for some reason, yet she could not figure out why.
When the call of a stranger reached her ears, she had nothing better to do but to answer it. She did not do so vocally, but rather she stood, the shadow that streached from her muzzle down to the tip of her tail with her, as always. That was one shadow that never led her astray and never vanished.
With her shadow, her white paws trotted toward the direction of the call. Soon, she came amongst a gathering of sorts, though nothing seemed to be coming of it. She had seen such gatherings before, and they had never proven to be very prosperous. Despite that, she sat. Perhaps this time the gathering would be of the more propitious type.
