Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

DAUGHTER OF THE GODS

Reginleif’s ears briefly pinned a little harder at the sound of the white mare’s squeal while a wave of satisfaction washed over her as her teeth found purchase on the other mare’s cheek. It didn’t matter that her “rival” also found her own purchase on Reginleif’s. if anything that just pleased the fleabitten mare all the more, despite the squeal she gave in spite of herself. Feeling the other mare pull away, Reginleif swung her rump and, with a quick buck for good measure, made a beeline for the stallion again. A hoof grazed her left cannon, but Reginleif was no longer thinking of the mare unless she came at her again.

She did not have the chance to drive the red stallion very far before the lagoon boss made his appearance. In the commotion, she hadn’t noticed his proximity and for a moment was disappointed that her game would end sooner than anticipated. She’d have been forgiven for thinking Kasabian would derail the fun with talks of business and welcoming the new recruit, but he surprised her joining in, however briefly. Had Reginleif expected the child in her womb to survive past birth, she might have been somewhat pleased by this year’s choice of donor, but she had no such expectations. If she was lucky she’d lose it before it was even born and that’s the most she could hope for.

The fleabitten mare eased off the young stallion and halted as the lagoon boss peeled away laughing - her back leg poised to kick out at the white mare if she should get too close again. Her dark eyes narrowed at the continued laughter, questioning his sanity and beginning to be thankful for her body’s natural and inevitable birth control – but then, Reginleif had never really had much of a sense of humour, other than a sick one. She’d never been one to laugh so openly.

”The boy needs work, he’s meeker than a day old filly” she replied with a smirk when asked what they should do with them. ”The girl makes for a better stallion, but I don’t suppose you accept mares as brothers. I’m sure she’d make a nice trinket for one though.” she paused, ”Hell, the boy could pass for a mare, maybe one of your brothers would take him for a trinket too.”

[ooc]I'm so tired, most of that probably doesn't make sense, soz
