It was the early hours of morning when Feray found herself on a beach; the sands smoothed by the tide going out, leading toward a thick forest filled with colors of reds and yellow, even some orange here and there. Autumn was it? Feray had never seen such a display of beauty, but nothing could compare to the endless rolling hills of sand that was her home. This was not Salem; far from it actually. Her mismatched eyes looked over a wet shoulder, eying the waves that crashed beyond her and wondered in which direction home truly lay. Feray had never traveled so much before and while she wouldn't admit it out loud, she was defiantly lost.

Doubtful she could make another attempt at a swim she allows her legs to carry her across the soothing sand and into the colorful arrangement of trees and underbrush. As she walked she couldn't help but think of her mother, the deaf appy mare had been with Feray for the first half of the journey but then a storm came and they had been separated. Feray had decided to continue on in hopes that the storm had pushed her mother in the same direction of home. She was hopeful that it would happen because what could possibly keep family apart?

The gently sound of falling water brings Feray from her thoughts, the trees finally thinning out to deposit her in a small clearing that rounded around a rather large pool of sparkling water, fed by the waterfall that rained down into it. Feray had never laid eyes on such a thing, and her legs hurried her to get closer, not caring how the cold water stung her already exhausted legs as she treaded through the water. Eyes stared up in wonder, and many thoughts filtered through her mind at once. Oh how she wished her mother was here but according to stories from her dam, the appy mare had traveled some parts of the islands before unlike her daughter. Feray tilts her head up, neck stretching out as if she could touch the cascading falls from where she stood.

Feray;
