Surprise etched itself across her black face and deep into her sapphire eyes. Persephone! At first, the femme said nothing as the other mare greeted her, what were the odds? And then, she began to chuckle, her laugh light and airy. ”It seems I have. Although you’ve beat me to it while I’ve been exploring.”Perhaps fate was real, considering the roan vixen standing before her had been the first she met on the islands. A wide grin stole over her maw though her teeth chattered to remind her of the biting cold. Under normal circumstances the wind would have merely been bothersome, but with her wet coat and rounding stomach… perhaps the swim had been a bad idea after all.
”So much has happened since I saw you last! This is yours now then? I stayed in the Prairie for a night awhile back but I don’t think I was ready to come here yet. It’s as marvelous as I imagined of course! Are there others living here now?”
Everything tumbled out of her in quick succession, her bodice bursting with the excitement of it all. To try and warm herself she pranced, her long legs moving like a fidgeting dancer while her auds flickered toward her friend. The idea of swimming back to the Bay later on did not sound at all appealing to the raven mare - especially when it was already cold enough outside of Tinuvel. Perhaps Persephone would allow her to stay for a season? Just until it became warm enough for her to go find Dances again before the foal was born. Or she supposed she could wander over to the Prairie once more, Shamwari had been awfully kind though she had not been pregnant at the time. No need to worry about it yet! She decided, there would be time for that later. For the moment, she was glad to be in the roan mare’s company once more.
