Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Self-preservation… is that what they called this? Maybe in some twisted sort of way.

Her body falls weightlessly through a blurred starry abyss. Her head spinning as vertigo took hold of her. There was no end in sight but the feeling of endlessly falling became normal for her after a while. Who knows how long it really had been. She floats onto her back with her limbs tucked into her body, the longer strands of her silken coat dancing upward as she passed by the same stars again and again. Her eyes are gently shut as she takes in the sensation of levity that this brings.

But the spinning in her head; it feels as if her brain is tumbling around and around. It makes her deliriously dizzy. Though now it almost makes her want to puke.

Wine colored eyes slowly opened and in the abyss and suddenly she was transported abruptly into reality.

It takes her a moment as her eye slowly focuses on the large full moon that shines directly above her. It swirls around as she loses focus again and rocks to and fro on her back to try and right herself among the grassy rocks. She manages to gather her legs under her and push herself to her paws, stumbling and righting herself several times before she was finally in a wide-legged and slightly swaying stance.

Her eyes sluggishly draw back up toward the moon again as she half-heartedly lifts her head to follow. ”Howww llllovely you are tonight, la lunaaaaa,” the words escape her lips in a drawl before she loses her balance again, the spinning image of the moon too much for her.

”Woah,” she softly exclaims as she nearly smacks herself into a large rock.

The sounds of a small waterfall nearby catches her attention and she staggers along the labyrinth of boulders to find it. Somehow, she is capable of maneuvering through the rocks without getting herself killed. Even more miraculously, she is able to find the waterfall. Carefully, as if she knew her life depended on it, she stepped down the rocks that lead to the pool of water. Almost too carefully. It was taking her terribly long to actually reach the waterfall after she has finally found it.

Eventually, she stumbles off of the last stone and meanders disjointedly toward the sparkling pool. Her toes touch the edge of the water and she leans forward to peer into its reflection, almost immediately becoming entranced by the myriad of stars that show themselves there.

So which was the dream? This or what was happening before?

It’s very difficult for her to discern at this point.

Her lids close halfway over her eyes as she is mesmerized by the rippling heavens before her. But… a thought came to her suddenly. She wondered what it could possibly taste like to drink the sky that laid before her. She can’t even imagine! She leaned forward to lap from the water, its cool crispness chilling her tongue instantaneously. Her eyes closed and before she knew it she was falling forward from the rocks she perched on. Her body crashed into the crystalline pool and went limp as she relaxed and succumbed to its depths. It was just like the abyss - cold, weightless, and full of stars.
