Use caution when the wolf comes knocking;

Rougaru watches the russet colored mare. Even from the distance that separates them, he could see the worry that glittered in her dark colored eyes. Despite the weariness that clung to each and every bone in her body, he could see the tautness of the muscles beneath her skin as she gazed desperately back into the surf. When finally she does take notice of his approach, Rougaru cannot hide the smirk that ghosts across his ash dusted lips or the glitter that alighted his jade colored eyes.

She bares her teeth at him, her waterlogged tail flicking back and forth irritably against copper colored flanks but even this does not deter the roguish stallion. A single dial flickers in acknowledgement of her hard looks and the cold monotone of her voice. It was clear she would be quite happy if he simply turned tail and disappeared back the same direction which he had come. However we all know that this just is not something that Rougaru is prepared to do. He comes abreast of her now, his own fierce gaze traveling out to the rolling waves that crashed white capped across the beach before them, lapping hungrily at their hooves as though they wanted nothing more than to draw the two back into the ocean's embrace.

Roguaru turns to look once more at the copper mare as she speaks again, this time, even his eyes turn with a renewed sense of concern back to the turmoil of the waves. Rain continued to pour down upon them, though it had slacked off some degree, still it was enough that it made searching the ocean a bit of a challenge. Though Rougaru was all about adding to his collection of mares and revitalizing the jungle island, even he was not a heartless and emotionless beast. Perhaps his father would have turned her away, instead forced his effort and attention into claiming this wet rat as his own, but Roug... well. Despite the wolf, he still had a heart and at the mare's mention of another and especially one with a foal. That tended to take precedence. She inquires about another beach and Rougaru turns his muzzle to the west. There was another beach, but one that was far harder to get to and one that was surrounded by a shallow coral reef with jagged rocks that hide just beneath the ocean's surface. On a bright day, when the ocean was at its calmest, these rocks were easy to spot and avoid, however, in the midst of this storm... well Rougaru did not want to tell the copper mare.

However movement just head of them catches his eye and despite the downpour of rain that limited vision, he can just make out the form of a mare and foal. Ears perk forward as he watches the duo approach, the filly clearly exhausted and the mare equally as spent despite her determination to appear strong and fearless in front of a stranger. Rougaru turns back to the copper mare who had first appeared on his beach, it was clear that the mother and filly looked to her for leadership an well, if any of them were to fight his dominance it was clear that it would be her. Jade eyes meet her own amber as Rougaru speaks up, "Come, you are all weak and your daughter is exhausted." he remarks, turning his gaze to the pretty little painted bay mare. Despite the exhaustion she did have a exquisite face an well, the filly was just proof that she was a proven breeder. "The cave over there, its far enough from the ocean's reach at the highest of tides and will give you a chance to rest and dry off." he says, picking up thick saucer-like hooves to prance around the trio. He stretches his muzzle forward as he circles the mares, nudging them towards the cavern that he himself had taken refuge in. "We can talk there." he says, his voice monotone as ears lace tight against the rain's downpour.
