live life to the fullest

It was hard to keep track of all the emotions flitting across the paint mare's features as she studied Creed. Creed snorted softly and shifted her weight, not liking all the attention but she wanted to be respectful so she tried to make herself sit still. When the mare spoke again, the anger behind her words caught Creed off guard but she knew it wasn't directed at her. It was a clear threat to the stallion who had tried to take her. She flared her nostrils and snorted, ears laying back as her tail swished and she gazed at the paint with wide eyes before she slowly nodded. "Noted. I'm suddenly glad you're on Persephone's side." The corner of her lips twitched a little toward a smile, her eyes softening a little. She was glad to see Persephone had mares that were so protective of her.

Her ears pricked again as the mare began to speak though, telling her what Persephone had told her. Creed scowled thoughtfully as she listened. She knew it wasn't because the stallion wanted her. Why would he? She had nothing to offer. So it was all a guise to get to Persephone. But why? She didn't understand how a mare as sweet as Persephone could make enemies. Her heart dropped at the idea of what he might do now that he had Persephone. A shiver ran down her spine as she let out a heavy sigh and shook her head. "Well, that clears some things up. I hope Persephone's okay." She said in a small voice as she looked out over the waves again. She knew that the mare had assured her that the stallion wouldn't hurt Persephone, but from here, could they really be so sure?

Then the mare looked at Creed again, saying he would pay. She ducked her head, as if apologizing for the mare's wrath even though she knew it wasn't directed at her. Then she nodded. "If there's any way I can help, let me know." She owed Persephone for giving her a home after she walked away and lost her own. It was the least she could do in return. Now Persephone had stood between her and a stallion who was going to use her. There was really no limit to what Creed would agree to, if only to show the mare some gratitude for her kindness.
