Court Backs "Faithless" Electors

The above words headlined a recent Colorado News article discussing the fact that the 10th Circuit Court recently ruled that presidential electors are not required to vote for the candidate that wins the state's popular vote, but, instead can vote for whomever they choose. (See below link).
To me, this seems like another argument in favor of the presidency being won by the candidate receiving the majority of the popular vote, nationwide; as opposed to the current electoral college approach.
