sent from the heavens above... Xiomara, open

The good bye to Solaris and Galexia was hard. He still wasn't sure where he stood with Solaris after their fight over him bringing back Xiomara, then she ran off and came back smelling strongly of that other stallion she spent time with and asked him out of the blue to breed with her again. It had thrown him for a whirl and against his better judgement telling him he should take whatever she offered, he had backed down and told her they needed to talk instead. Maybe it wasn't what she wanted to hear but he couldn't just keep letting it go that she was running to someone else. She wasn't talking to him. She only came to him for companionship when she wanted warmth to sleep or a baby, apparently. Galexia was adorable, but did they need another child so soon? And there was the question of her smelling of that other stallion. Why did she go to him in heat? Was there something else he was missing?

Don't act like you're smart enough to figure it out. Just report where you're supposed to like a good little dog and lick the heels of another mare who's too good for you. He shuddered at the thought. He didn't know what to think of Xiomara. Even from their first meeting in the Common, she had come off sharp tongued and spirited. She wasn't afraid to say whatever came to mind. She was so unlike Angel and yet in the end she'd come with him to Paradise, if only for a short spell before she turned around and beat a stallion in battle for his own herd, apparently. Angel had thought that would be the last of her he'd ever see. That is, until Rougaru called for him and told him that he had to go to the Inlet. Now he had to swim back to the place Solaris and him had left just a few months prior. He remembered it was cold for his thin skin and even thinner coat, but he couldn't just ignore the order, right?

He wondered how Solaris was really going to take it. Would she be upset at all that he left? Or would she just have a better excuse to run back to her other suitor? If that's what he was. Don't kid yourself. Of course she's got someone on the side. A real stallion. He shuddered and stomped the ground as he walked deeper into the water, ready to start the swim back to Tinuvel. He wondered who would watch Galexia if Solaris ran off. Hopefully she'd pick one of the trustworthy mares in Paradise to look over her if needed. Or maybe he'd get lucky and she'd bring her to the Inlet for him to see her more often. If not, he would make sure to make as many trips as possible there to see them. He needed his daughter in his life.

Sighing, he dove deeper into the water, antoehr shudder running down his spine as the icy water hit his torso. He was shivering by the time he came up on the shores of the Inlet and shook out his coat with a grunt. Swishing his soaked tail, he flared his nostrils, searching for Xiomara's scent. He should probably let her know he's here, right? He let out a loud whinny, wondering if she would hear.
