Mother Goose is just a fairy-tale

The world was something different now. There is silence...too much of it. Where had Liland gone? Where had his children and grand-kids gone? Goose was unsure and it troubled his thoughts greatly. A stallion that was no stranger to being left behind. It didn't mean that he had to like it though. Their scents are faded a bit now. His eyes search and those ears swivel as new scents catch his attention. Well, not completely new. One of them he was a bit familiar to. The other though; Goose cannot say that he recognized it. Hardly the case really.

Approaching at a soft trot, the buckskin makes his way toward these creatures. They were horses of course. There were a million different creatures that one might find among the Bay inhabitants. There were only some he was familiar to though, and equine were at the top of that list. It isn't long before his mind wanders astray. Back to the missing once more. It doesn't make sense. He's approaching the pair now though and his eyes take them in ever so curiously. There was Cinnamon. Then; there was a smaller creature. A colt. His rich gaze wanders over the both of them as he pauses a little ways from both. A clearing of his throat and he's speaking to them.

"Hello. I am Goose." His gaze falls on the stallion first. "I do not believe that I caught your name before." Those eyes fall to the colt then with curiosity. "I am the Bay's leader." He offers and then is silent. He watches and he waits. There is a strange sense of something haven't gone wrong. Not here with them, but of the others. Goose could not even place it and he wasn't sure he'd ever do so. Perhaps one should merely look forward however, and not worry about what was. It was here and now that truly mattered. Right? A frown came to his features then and his eyes move back to Cinnamon.

"I cannot say as to what is different but I do not think that Liland is here now." There is another pause for a breath before he is continuing. "Liland and I had a deal. Liland didn't wish to run the Bay any longer. I took his place as it's leader and he became my Second." Faded though. Something was definitely amiss and he wasn't sure he liked it. One could only do with what information they may have however. He had very little on the matter at hoof. "I had not expected him to leave though; as it appears he's done. I cannot even begin to fathom why. I'm not sure we are meant to ever know where he may have gone or if he'll ever come back." Something told Goose that Liland wouldn't be coming back though. He wasn't sure why, but he knew deep down that they would be moving forward from here without the other stallion they had known.
