Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

-THERE IS NO HONOR AMONG THIEVES

-there is no honor among thieves

He really had not expected to be greeted by such a small mare upon his arrival to the Bay. Cullen was just looking for easy prey to take back home and the Gypsy Vanner stallion caught his attention. The stallion’s scent was all over the Bay which suggested the he once owned it, but maybe this tiny mare had bested him for it. It was hilarious to think about! Still, he needed new members and this was a perfect opportunity to gain this stallion’s favor (so he thought). He would defeat this small mare and train this stallion to either stay as his loyal follower or leave to come back and make the Bay his home again. What stallion wouldn’t want this offer?

He won, of course, and he offered the stallion to allow his mate to come with him. He refused to allow his mare to follow him unless she wanted to (stupid chivalry), but maybe he had no worries since it was a mare who controlled the Bay. No matter, the stallion was his now so the small mare was tossed aside as soon as he left the Bay. He allowed the stallion to say his goodbyes before leaving the Bay so Cullen left without him. He waits for the stallion to show until he finally sees him stomping around the Lagoon. He didn’t look happy, but he would grow founder of the place in time. What male didn’t like the company of his own kind every once and awhile?

Goose speaks in a way anyone in the area could hear him. He must be seeking attention and Cullen would gladly give it to him. He speaks again and this time Cullen was coming to the conclusion that this stallion was still a child. He was throwing a tantrum and it would be impossible to reason with someone like that. Goose then makes a shrill call for him, displaying his frustration with a rear. His eyes roll as he steps into view of his captive. A snort bursts through his nostrils as he takes steps closer to the painted Vanner, eyes fixated on him.

”Grumpy are we? Sad I took you away from that small mare that stole your land from you? That is what happened isn’t it?” He stops a few steps away form the stallion. ”I’m sure you would be happier here if you just allowed your mare to come. Then you would have company as you trained.” Yes, trained…what would he say to that?
