It was both surprising and refreshing to see the dark slender mare out during the middle of the day. Cain could recall their past encounters where she always seemed to come out at night, as if she thought she belonged to the darkness. He knew better and was glad to see she was figuring it out as well. Watching Melisma bloom into a confident mare was encouraging and he hoped to see more of it. He watched for afar as she moved across the desert, snatching at grass and looking around as if searching for someone. His ears flickered and a smirk tugged at his lips, wondering if she was looking for him. Who was he to disappoint? Swishing his tail, he tossed his head and gave a nicker before trotting her way. He hadn't spoken to her since Galexia claimed the desert and he had some things to say to the pretty mare. He knew the fault of what had happened with the younger golden mare was his and his alone. He could only hope his herd could come to forgive him in time for it.


As Melisma made her way to the water, the draft stallion changed his path to meet her there, stopping a few feet away so as not to crowd her. Dipping his head, the stallion pricked his ears and his gaze softened. "Melisma...it's good to see you. I wanted to thank you, for what you tried to do with Galexia."
