Ironclad had stepped away to get Lakota and Pike to safety, whatever that meant, so she had the inlet all to herself and the it felt GREAT. She wasn't even sure why he felt he had to take the younger horses to another herd to grant them safety, but since she didn't even know them, she figured it wasn't her place. Why couldn't he just keep them safe here? Wasn't this supposed to be the herd he protected against all threats? Medusa worried that Ironclad wasn't quite as ready to rule as he thought he was. She made a promise to herself that she would never had doubts in herself like that. She would protect this herd at all costs. Valka had made sure she knew how to fight and she would use that training to better herself for the safety of the inlet. Sure, there was supposed to be another stallion here that helped protect it, too, but as the queen, she wouldn't step behind another when it came to her herd. She was young, but she wouldn't let that stop her.

The bay paint let her tail flow behind her like a banner as she galloped across the inlet. Her neck was arched, ears forward as she soped out the herd lands, patrolling for possible threats or just someone she could harass for a little while. She knew virtually no one in this herd, and that was unacceptable to her. She wanted to know each and every one of them. As a yearling, she'd watched her own mother reach out to others and socialize. Now it was her turn to get to know the horses she'd sworn to protect when she told Ironclad she would stand at his side. A whinny fell from her lips as she thrust her head up, inviting any to approach or so help her, she would start hunting them all down, one by one.
