He almost didn't see the golden mare resting beneath the tree, but once he did, he couldn't take his eyes off of her. She seemed to glow with the light of the sun, and her golden brown eyes were kind and expectant as they looked on him. She didn't look surprised at all to see the large stallion and she didn't react with fear or hesitation like some did. In fact, her first words had him faltering as he paused and tilted his head, ears pricked. His lips curled a little in amusement as he took her in. "And when did you expect me?" He couldn't help but ask, curious of the answer.

He watched as she bent herself around the tree in an adorable fashion before saying she wasn't surprised to see him. His eyes twinkled as he watched her, taking in the whimsical way in which she looked at the world around her. It was like she saw everything in a whole different way than most, and he was instantly mesmerized. She looked up to the tree then back to Cain, telling him he might be as the tree she stood under when he returned to the earth. He glanced up at the tree's branches for a moment, smiling to himself before his gaze went back to her. "Wouldn't that be grand? I would like to know I can still protect others from the harshness of the world when my body is no longer as this one."

A single brow raised. "And what would you return as, do you think?"
